Position Details

About the role:

Attached to the Operational Safety Division, People Development Command, Victoria Police Academy. Providing administrative support directly to the Superintendent of Operational Safety Division and indirectly with support to varying work units and committees.

Your duties will include:

  • Clerical duties, directly supporting the Superintendent and the Division more broadly, which include but are not limited to:
  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Scheduling & accepting meetings on behalf of Superintendent
  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • Preparation and distribution of regularly scheduled reports
  • Performing the role of Secretariat in Divisional meetings
  • Performing the role of Secretariat for Local Professional Standards Committee (LPSC)
  • Undertake financial and purchasing administration on behalf of the Division
  • Maintenance of Divisional Intranet page

 

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Good time management and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise work.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in data entry, word processing, financial and purchasing administration.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
  • This position is located at Victoria Police Academy, 1 View Mount Road, Glen Waverley.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with organisational policy, all Victoria Police employees are required to be fully vaccinated (including a booster vaccination) against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exception. As such your employment with Victoria Police is subject to providing evidence of your vaccination status.
