Position Details
About the role:
The Organisational Performance Division provides accurate business intelligence from a range of corporate data sets. This intelligence is used by managers at all levels of the organisation to help make informed decisions in relation to planning, strategy development, tasking and coordination, rostering and performance. The division is introducing a portal presence and visual analytics software to give VicPol managers and intelligence practitioners easy access to important performance related data.

Your duties will include:
- Developing dashboards and other data visualisations.
- Developing, managing, and maintaining data models.
- Engaging with stakeholders to understand requirements.
- Innovating solutions for the consumption of data at all levels of the organisation.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- a good aptitude for analysis, a naturally enquiring mind, and excellent problem-solving skills.
- strong team-working skills.
- good organisational and prioritisation skills.
- willingness to learn and work with a range of IT applications, including some specialised data collection, analysis, and presentation tools.
- SAS programming experience required and HTML, JavaScript and CSS highly desirable.

- ability to respond to changing requirements and priorities and ability to adapt to unpredictable circumstances.
- ability to develop Business Intelligence reporting products.

Requirements and relevant information:
- One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
