Position Details

About the role:

We are currently advertising One (1) part time (0.8 FTE), on-going VPS-2 position at Mooroolbark Police Station and we are looking for a highly motivated applicant to join our dynamic and supportive administration team.

As a Victoria Police employee, you will have dedication and commitment to community safety.

Reporting to the VPS3 Team Leader and Senior Sergeant, the successful applicant will be rewarded with thorough training in a contemporary and agile workplace who supports flexible working arrangements.

Your duties will include:

  • Perform data entry, filing, document destruction and archiving tasks.
  • Attend to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders, provide initial information and advice where required.
  • Receive, record and distribute mail and correspondence.
  • Undertake a range of functions around the receipt, management and disposal of property items in accordance with police policy and relevant legislation.
  • Provide general office support tasks including the operation and maintenance of office equipment.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Experience in working with computers and systems to perform a range of administrative tasks including, record management, data entry and word processing tasks.
  • Must have the ability to accurately maintain systematic and administrative records.
  • Ability to work successfully within a team environment and ability to work independently.
  • Prioritisation skills and ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • If required, flexibility to assist other team members by working from different police station locations within the Yarra Ranges.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • There is a part time, ongoing position, (60.8 hours per fortnight), 20010394.
  • Salary for the position is $55,439 - $71,194 p.a. plus superannuation pro rata.
  • Position is located at the Mooroolbark Police Complex (Corner Hull & Cambridge Roads, Mooroolbark); however, you may be required to work at other locations within the Division/PSA.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with the Acting Chief Health Officer's Direction – COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions, you are required to be fully vaccinated (this includes a booster vaccination) and your employment with Victoria Police is subject to proof of vaccination.
