Position Details
About the role:
Reporting to the Customer Experience Team Leader, the role will play a key role in providing first level support for HR Systems and Payroll queries. The role requires you to deliver high level customer service through resolving queries relating to HR Assist and Oracle Timesheets.
HR Assist is the Victoria Police human resource management system. HR Assist is an interactive system for use by employees, managers, pracitioners and training course administraros, with each having access onto to parts of the systems relevant to their job role. Within HR Assist you will find:
Employee Self Service (ESS)
Manager Self Service (MSS)
Dashboard Forms
Oracle timesheets are used by sworn members of Victoria Police to record working times and allowances relevant to the position. On the job training will be provided to the successful applicant.

Your duties will include:
- Delivering support on a range of HR Assist/Payroll processes/transactions to all Victoria Police users.
- Analyse fortnightly reports with data derived from Oracle Timesheets
- Complete requests to amend members Oracle Timesheets
- Assisting in the development of process improvements and the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures.
- Supporting in the enhancement and modification of the HR Assist Application.
- Developing positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with ongoing training of staff within the team
- Other duties as required to support the HR People Services Division.
About You:
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- Excellent customer service skills (a background in Human Resource Management would be beneficial)
- Demonstrated time management skills and proven capacity to co-ordinate tasks, determine priorities, monitor workflows and operate effectively as a member in a team environment.
- Demonstrated initiative, strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work within a dynamic and diverse area with competing demands
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, dealing effectively with a wide range or personnel within a large and diverse organisation, focusing on continual improvement
Further Information:
- One (1) x full-time, fixed term position available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
