Position Details

About the role:

This role provides administrative support to the Operational Communications Services Unit within the Operational Communications Division. The successful applicant will work in a small team and assist in the daily management of police radios.

Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements.

Your duties will include:

  • Develop and maintain competency to use current processes and systems and support management reporting requirements.
  • Determine priorities, meet deadlines and balance competing demands with minimal supervision.
  • Engage with internal and external business stakeholders as required.
  • Other duties as required.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • An ability to work effectively alone or as part of a small team.
  • Advanced skills in the use of contemporary Microsoft applications.
  • Attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise work and problem solve.
  • Adaptability.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) x part-time 0.6 FTE, ongoing position available.
  • The salary plus superannuation will be pro rata.
  • This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head.  To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with organisational policy, all Victoria Police employees are required to be fully vaccinated (including a booster vaccination) against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exception. As such your employment with Victoria Police is subject to providing evidence of your vaccination status.
