About the role:

Please note there are two positions available. As the successful applicant you will support the work of a multi-disciplinary unit within the Covert Services Division, Intelligence and Covert Support Command. You will contribute to the enhancement of Victoria Police's online investigation and intelligence gathering capabilities by supporting the facilitation of training and/or administering processes and policy to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.

These positions suit someone with strong attention to detail, administrative and customer service skills. An interest in intelligence gathering and/or emerging technology are beneficial, but knowledge can be acquired on the job.

Your duties will include:

  • Daily management of administrative documents and functions, including Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and/or a Microsoft Dynamics CRM Database
  • Processing applications
  • Maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of records
  • Filing, archiving and destruction of information
  • Providing guidance and advice to Victoria Police employees with regards to relevant legislation and internal policies and procedures
  • Engaging with a variety of stakeholders to obtain information to promote governance and compliance.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Experience managing data and official documents
  • Experience working in a fast-paced team environment
  • Experience supporting and contributing to team objectives
  • A high level of communication and organisation skills
  • Advanced customer service skills and interpersonal skills
  • Proven high levels of ethical behaviour
  • Experience working with databases
  • An ability to understand and explain legislative requirements
  • A valid Victorian driver's licence.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • Two (2) x full-time, ongoing positions available.
  • The positions are located at the Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head.  To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with organisational policy, all Victoria Police employees are required to be fully vaccinated (including a booster vaccination) against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exception. As such your employment with Victoria Police is subject to providing evidence of your vaccination status.
