About the role:

Road Policing Projects Division is a specialist area within Road Policing Command that specialises in the delivery of projects aimed at road safety outcomes. 

The Division is currently seeking two proficient Project Administrators. The Project Administrator roles will provide administration and project support to the Program Manager, Senior Project Managers, and project teams within the Division to enable and support the successful delivery of each project. The roles will be diverse, requiring flexibility and are likely to undertake a wide variety of work across the division.

Your duties will include:

  • Preparing a range of project and administrative materials and reports (e.g., briefing notes, development of presentations, project progress reports, proposals, and correspondence)
  • Providing secretariat duties to relevant committees, governance groups, and project working and advisory groups
  • Maintaining project documentation including actions, decisions, risks, and issues registers
  • Providing high level administrative support to the Program Manager and Senior Project Managers
  • Attending to enquiries from a range of stakeholders and customers
  • Developing positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Other duties as required to support the Road Policing Projects Division

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Demonstrated administrative experience and be a confident communicator
  • A proven history of producing high quality work
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • An ability to work with limited supervision and/or as a member of a team
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to write clearly and succinctly

Requirements and relevant information:

  • Two (2) x full time, fixed term positions until 30 June 2023.
  • These positions are located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands, 3008.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head.  To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with organisational policy, all Victoria Police employees are required to be fully vaccinated (including a booster vaccination) against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exception. As such your employment with Victoria Police is subject to providing evidence of your vaccination status.
