Position Details

About the role:

The Investment and Reporting Division (IRD), within the Investment Governance and Assurance Department (IGAD) is responsible for overseeing the investment planning, development of investment proposals and Expenditure Review Committee (ERC) business cases, and the provision of performance and compliance reporting with statutory, corporate and project obligations for Victoria Police.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Project Administrator, reporting to the Director IRD, to assist with investment and reporting functions, including the coordination and administrative tasks. The role will be diverse, requires flexibility and is likely to undertake a wide variety of work across the Division and when required more broadly across IGAD.

Your duties will include:

  • Support the Director, Investment and Reporting to maintain an organised diary and inbox, actioning relevant emails, redirecting actions as required and prioritising urgent and/or significant matters. Follow up to ensure timely responses.
  • Maintain information and records using departmental administrative and business support systems.
  • Perform administrative project support, planning and coordination task to support the deliverable of the division.
  • Provide quality and responsive service to colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Attending to enquiries from a range of stakeholders and customers
  • Developing positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Other duties as required to support IRD and IGAD

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with stakeholder.
  • Well-developed communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing office systems and implementing improvements to office efficiency.
  • A proven history of producing high quality work
  • Work under pressure, including occasionally under very tight timeframes.
  • Excellent customer service and be a team player.
  • A proven record of ethical behaviour.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
  • This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
