About the role:

Specialist Programs Division, People Development Command is searching for an experienced, reliable and task-oriented Administration Support Officer. The Administration Support Officer will work directly with the Superintendent of Specialist Programs Division and will be responsible for performing a number of administrative duties.

Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements.


Your duties will include:

  • Coordinate executive communications, including taking calls and responding to emails.
  • Prepare internal documents for Specialist Programs Division.
  • Schedule meetings and appointments.
  • Prepare for Divisional Meetings, including compilation of agendas and minutes.
  • Maintain an organised filing system of paper and electronic documents.
  • Manage Superintendent's calendar and schedule meetings and appointments as required.


As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Experience in data entry, word processing and maintenance of administrative records.
  • Strong organisational, project administration and problem-solving skills with excellent multi-tasking abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Microsoft Office skills with an ability to become familiar with organisational specific programs.
  • Experience in drafting reports, letters and other correspondence.
  • Ability to source and collate information from multiple sources to prepare consolidated reports.


Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) x full-time, fixed term position available until 30/06/2024.
  • This position is located at Victoria Police Academy, 1 View Mount Road, Glen Waverley.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with organisational policy, all Victoria Police employees are required to be fully vaccinated (including a booster vaccination) against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exception. As such your employment with Victoria Police is subject to providing evidence of your vaccination status.
