Position Details
About the role:
The Victoria Police Talent, Attraction and Programs team (TAP) sits within the Recruitment and Deployment Division in the Human Resources Command.
TAP works directly with prospective applicants seeking a career with Victoria Police and oversees employment programs and pathways for all roles across the organisation. This involves running information sessions to large cohorts of interested people via webinars or in person information sessions.
The aim of TAP is to help build the workforce of the future by employing people who are aligned to the Victoria Police values and that have the attributes, skills and experience required to serve the community in different roles across the organisation.
As the successful applicant, you will work mainly in the Talent and Attraction space with a particular focus on police attraction and recruitment however you will also be required to assist with promoting other roles and employment programs within Victoria Police as well as work closely with the Recruiting team.

Your duties will include:
- Liaising directly with prospective applicants; explaining the recruitment process and offering professional advice in response to pre-application enquiries.
- Managing attraction related activities including event coordination and liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
- Presenting in person or online, at information sessions for prospective applicants, outlining details of the role and requirements to large cohorts of people.
- Attending career exhibitions and events to promote all roles and employment programs within Victoria Police.
- Working closely with all members of TAP to appropriately plan projects, ideas and various collaborations.
- Perform administrative duties, including managing phone calls from perspective applicants on queries about applying for Victoria Police career pathways.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- A demonstrated record of strong commitment and achievement in meeting customer needs.
- Experience presenting information to large cohorts of people in person or online, with impactful influence, is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to communicate professionally and succinctly to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Possess highly developed communication and presentation skills that can be adapted to suit the audience and situation.
- The ability to work on a number of projects and initiatives concepts concurrently.
Requirements and relevant information:
- Two (2), fixed term until 30 June 2026.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- From time to time, this position will require you to be rostered to work afternoon shifts, weekends, and go on overnight stays.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
