About the role:

As the ITSM Developer/Administrator, you will ensure the stability and usability of the service management platform, associated products and delivered solutions.  You will be providing technical development, implementation, customization, and ongoing support and maintenance.  You will also provide technical advice, expertise, and specialist skills to ICDT teams, delivery partners and other stakeholders.

Your duties will include:

Reporting to the Enterprise Service Management Technical Lead, you will be part of the team responsible for the support, maintenance and development of new technical solutions in the ITSM platform.

  • Design, build, test and deliver technical solutions to meet customer requirements while maintaining best practice, ease of maintenance and alignment with product and service roadmaps.
  • Work with domain and solution architects to research technical solutions to business problems
  • Collaborate with the team, product specialists and business subject matter experts to effectively translate documented business requirements into fit-for-purpose technical solutions
  • Provide clear and concise specialist advice to relevant stakeholders
  • Manage and resolve incidents and other operation requests against the ITSM platform, products, and solutions
  • Perform routine maintenance, lead upgrade planning and execution, support releases and manage platform, products and solution updates and migration
  • Manage the user and group access and ensure that the platform instance is secured

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information and Communications Technology or directly related discipline
  • ITIL Certification and strong hands-on development/administration experience with leading ITSM tool
  • Experience with database design schemas and data modelling
  • Adept with Flow Designer to automate business processes
  • Experienced with integration technologies and orchestration
  • Experienced with scripting, e.g. JavaScript, Web Services, HTML, CSS, Jelly
  • Experience in delivering performance analysis and insight to drive improvement
  • Ability to cultivate productive working relationships, facilitate cooperation and partnerships
  • Exemplify personal drive, integrity and show personal courage

Requirements and relevant information:

  • Two (2) full time, ongoing positions available  
  • Positions will be located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with the Acting Chief Health Officer's Direction – COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions, you are required to be fully vaccinated and your employment with Victoria Police is subject to proof of vaccination.
