Position Details

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Learning Manager to lead a team in the design, development and delivery of an organisational priority project responding to the Royal Commission into the Management of Police Informants (RCMPI).  This project focuses on development of the training strategy for Victoria Police members regarding their disclosure responsibilities and obligations.

This is a high profile and complex project that requires the ability to develop, manage and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You'll be working closely with various projects across the organisation, along with sworn members and senior management. You'll report to the Program Manager of the RCMPI Project and lead a small team; providing coaching to ensure the project is delivering a quality product and achieving project outcomes.

This role will suit someone with a background in learning design, an experienced people manager and the ability to meet deadlines in accordance with the project schedule.

The position is located at the work from the Victoria Police Academy however there will be an expectation that you will attend Victoria Police sites across the state.

Your duties will include:

  • Conduct/Complete a Training Needs Analysis (TNA).
  • Conduct a Change & Training Impact Assessment.
  • Design a training strategy as per the TNA.
  • Develop all curriculum and learning materials.
  • Design the implementation plan and evaluation strategy.
  • Implement the training strategy.
  • Lead and coach a team of education consultants/ facilitators.
  • Manage deliverables as per the project milestones.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Submit project reporting and provide educational advice.

 

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Proven experience in design and development of learning programs.
  • Ability to consider innovative and flexible approaches to learning.
  • Excellent people and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Adaptability to changing circumstances.
  • Performing in an environment with a high level of uncertainty.
  • Qualifications in a relevant field would be highly regarded.

 

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) full time fixed term position available until 31/12/2024.
  • Position location: Victoria Police Academy – 1 View Mount Road, Glen Waverley.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
