Position Details
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams in providing innovative health, safety, and wellbeing programs to improve and prevent mental health injuries for Victoria Police employees in the Eastern region of Victoria.
- One full-time, ongoing position available.
- Effective 1st December 2023 VPS Grade 6.1: $130,673 to $152,772 plus superannuation.

About the role:
An opportunity for 1 x Hub Manager to be part of our Heath, Safety and Wellbeing Division for the Eastern Region Hub, located in Knox.
The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Taskforce (the Taskforce) is the single most significant investment in the health, safety, and wellbeing of Victoria Police employees. The Taskforce has been established to improve prevention and response to work related injuries. The Taskforce is establishing six Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDT), based in hubs across the state, enhancing employee's mental health, injury prevention, early intervention, and recovery support. This newly created position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to supporting employees.
The Hub Manager is a senior leader responsible for a multidisciplinary team of health, safety, and wellbeing professionals. The position will drive strategic objectives and influence senior managers to achieve results. This position will serve as a critical link between the on the ground multidisciplinary team, Region/Command/Department leadership and Health, Safety & Wellbeing divisional leads to ensure shared purpose and aligned objectives.
Your duties will include:
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of health, safety, and wellbeing professionals to deliver high quality services to employees.
- Drive strategic direction and business planning in local hubs to focus on preventative and proactive initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with and influence senior managers to achieve strategic objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness through tracking key performance indicators and innovative quality improvement projects.
- Provide high level reports and briefings to senior managers health, safety, and wellbeing subject matter experts.
- Travel around the Victoria Police Eastern Region is required for this role, including occasional overnight travel.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- Proven leadership in senior management roles in large or complex organisations.
- Extensive experience managing multidisciplinary and/or large teams and highly developed skills in coaching and mentoring diverse teams.
- Demonstrated experience in working with a range of stakeholders and monitoring stakeholders' satisfaction.
- Proven ability to drive strategic objectives.

Requirements and relevant information:

- This position is located at Eastern Region Police Headquarters, Burwood Highway, Wantirna South.
- Successful candidates will be required to possess a current Victorian Driver Licence and hold or qualify for an appropriate Victoria Police driving authority within three (3) months.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
