Position Details

The Administration Officer is responsible for a range of administrative functions including providing support to the Inspection Services business where required to assist with the successful delivery of its objectives. The functions entail responding to a range of internal and external stakeholders, management of cases and processes, and maintenance of accurate databases.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to proactively maintain a strong customer focus and liaise effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of administrative support within a corporate or government environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite, with all aspects of record keeping, database management and with preparation of routine reports.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner whilst maintaining confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, exercise attention to detail with initiative and ability to identify routine process improvements.
  • Ability to cooperate effectively with the team and works collaboratively to achieve team goals.
  • Ability to use sound judgment, tact, be outcome focused and proactively to manage own work flows and escalate issues where required.
  • Demonstrated ability to be decisive and flexible while maintaining impartiality, objectivity and professionalism.
