Position Details

We are seeking experienced leaders to fill the positions of Building Team Leaders, Inspection Services. You will be responsible for  delivering technical knowledge to the business unit, mentoring and leading a team of building regulatory professionals, undertaking inspections of practitioners to ensure compliance with legislation and providing advice to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Current registration as a building surveyor (unlimited) with high level technical knowledge and skills. Previous experience as a Municipal Building Surveyor will be highly regarded.
  • Ability to be decisive and flexible while maintaining impartiality, objectivity and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of the building industry and relevant legislation.
  • Experience in managing and developing teams to achieve outputs within a customer service focused environment.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship skills in order to develop innovative solutions and negotiate strategic outcomes to complex issues.

Salary Details

Base salary within the Grade 6.1 range of $113,156 to $132,292 per annum (plus 9.5% super), will be negotiated with the successful candidate, depending on skills and experience.
