Position Details

Manager, Committee Secretariat

The Manager, Committee Secretariat manages a small team providing high quality support to the State Crisis and Resilience Council (SCRC) and Government.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Responsible for the provision of highly specialist, efficient and effective secretariat support to the SCRC Sub Committees and key EMV committees, in close collaboration with the Chairs
  • Routinely provide expert strategic advice to the Sub Committee and their Chairs, EMV Executive and Leadership and wider key stakeholders.
  • In consultation with the Manager Strategy and Performance and Manager Investment Planning and Development, contribute to the development of work programs for the Committees generated from the Strategic Action Plan
  • Support and assist the General Manager, Strategy Planning and Performance in the provision of strategic policy advice to the Director Strategy and Investment, Senior Executives and the Minister for Police and Emergency Services on time critical multi-agency issues, including projects dealing with Whole of Government matters

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills which enable the achievement of shared outcomes.
