Project Officer

EMV has an excellent opportunity for an experienced and passionate Project Officer to join our Strategy & Investment directorate in an investment planning and reform focused role.

The key responsibilities for this role will include:


  • Provide advice and assistance in relation to the development of funding submissions (business cases) and other related documents within the State Budget process, including the production and updating of documentation.
  • Develop and review financial models relating to investment proposals, input information into Department finance systems and resolve issues etc.
  • Develop and analyse service delivery models and help establish new frameworks that underpin reform of emergency management arrangements, including development of policy reform documentation.
  • Develop and maintain project management resources and frameworks including project plans, risk and issues logs, governance arrangements and related processes, status reports etc.

  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills;
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written;
  • Demonstrated experience in the core aspects of the project management lifecycle; 
  • Proven record of initiative, flexibility and self-management.
