This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced executive/personal assistant seeking to expand their focus to broader administrative functions and make a contribution to the effective delivery of corporate services in support of EMV's emergency management activities.

Reporting to the Manager Human Resources but with a strong relationship to the Director Corporate Support Services the Office Manager is responsible for the provision of high quality executive assistant support to the Director. In addition, they provide targeted administrative assistance to the Human Resources team and general support to the Corporate Support Services directorate and the broader EMV team.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and detail orientated person with previous experience in high volume administrative and executive assistant environments.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Providing confidential, high-level secretarial and executive support to the Director Corporate Support Services, including managing the Director's daily schedule based on an ongoing assessment of priorities and demands.
  • Manage the CSS Office including the purchase and maintenance of all equipment, stationery and supplies including ensuring compliance with all recording and reporting requirements for business unit assets.
  • Provide high level administrative support to the Director inclusive of minute taking and agenda preparation for agency liaison meetings and any other meetings and forums as required or chaired by the Director.
  • Under limited direction, undertake and support specific projects and prepare responses, briefing papers, reports and other documents on complex issues.
  • Coordinate quality, flexible and effective administrative and business support services for the Human Resources team and the Directorate in general.


To be successful you will have:

  • Strong administrative skills and experience within a fast paced environment (VPS experience well regarded)
  • Experience providing significant executive assistant support to a senior manager.
