This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced project officer to make a contribution to the effective delivery of corporate services in support of EMV's emergency management activities.

Reporting to the Manager Governance & Risk, the Project Officer Governance & Risk is responsible for the provision of high quality support across a variety of programs, projects and administration tasks relating to planning, project management and governance.  In addition, the Project Officer provides general administrative assistance across the Directorate to ensure the smooth provision of corporate services and support to EMV.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and detail orientated person with previous experience in project management and/or business systems administration.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Provide high-level support with the effective delivery of governance and risk activities within the business unit and across EMV.
  • Undertake research and analysis and prepare reports, briefs, correspondence, project schedules, business cases and other documents for key stakeholders, senior management and project staff as required.
  • Provide project support to assist in meeting agreed project objectives, service delivery standards and timelines, stakeholder expectations and client needs.
  • Support the collection and analysis of business activity performance data on EMV's performance against agreed annual work plan / directorate business plan activities.
  • Coordinate and facilitate appropriate programs and training designed to strengthen EMV's planning and project management capabilities and effectiveness.

 To be successful:

  • Previous experience in project management/ systems administration is essential
  • Experience in workshop development and exercise facilitation will be highly regarded
  • Experience in business case development is highly desirable.
  • Appropriate qualifications in Business, Project Management, Facilitation or related disciplines will be highly regarded.
