Position Details

Team Leader - Regional Support

  • Lead and manage the Regional Support Team; manage the allocation of resources, budgets, business and project planning and reporting; and demonstrate a strong commitment to a positive culture and the development of staff.
  • Ensure the highest priority demands across the state are being met by Regional Support Officers. Enable a consistent service offering that meets all organisational requirements and that is tailored to specific place-based needs.
  • Contribute to the success of the EPA as it enters a new era of environmental protection in Victoria.

As the environmental regulator, EPA Victoria works on behalf of all Victorians to protect the health and wellbeing of Victoria's communities and environment from the harmful effects of pollution and waste. We're an independent statutory authority, established in 1971 and have undergone the biggest transformation in our history with the Environment Protection Act 2017 coming into effect on 1 July 2021.  The new Act requires us to change our approach to become a world class regulator, using new powers and tools to prevents risk to the environment and human health.

 About the role

The Team Leader, Regional Support leads and manages a team responsible for providing place-based front of house and administrative services in EPA's regional offices. You will work across all regions and drive a consistent approach to the delivery of regional support services and ensure that work is aligned to EPA's strategic and regulatory priorities to prevent harm to Victorian communities and the environment from pollution and waste. 

You lead and manage a team through change to ensure a positive organisational culture and ensure the highest standards of performance and integrity are achieved; and foster genuine partnerships across all levels of government, industry, and community to deliver organisational outcomes.

 About you

Outcomes focused and relishing a challenge, you are an experienced leader in the areas of business management/administration.
