Position Details

An exciting opportunity for a Health Advisor

  • Fixed term contract to Date.
  • Full time hours.
  • Immediate start.

A Health Advisor at EPA will:

Use current and emerging knowledge of the assessment and management of pathogens in environmental media (water, air, soil, waste) to undertake technical assessments in relation to microbial risks to environmental public health, and make recommendations to reduce risks.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will possess a tertiary qualification in science, health science, microbiology, environmental public health or a related discipline.  A postgraduate qualifications in microbiology will be preferred.  You will also need to demonstrate your ability and experience in assessing microbial risks to human health in environmental settings.

You will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. You will also be able to think outside the square and possess a willingness to try new things, a genuine desire to learn, share knowledge and make a difference.  A broad understanding of environmental regulation as it relates to pollution and waste is desirable.
