This role strongly supports the work of EPA’s Applied Sciences Group and EPA’s Strategic Plan, by leading major internal and external Applied Science knowledge brokering services. This position requires you to build and maintain strong working relationships with a broad range of internal stakeholders within EPA, and key external stakeholders such as other Government departments, experts and research centres.
The role will:
Regularly interact with a range of internal and external clients and experts to provide high quality fit for purpose applied science expertise to support EPA’s work.
Directly provide applied science advice within their expertise capability.
Strategically analyse EPA’s current and future Applied Science knowledge needs within defined areas and work with a team on innovative ways to effectively deliver these.
Provide program management for Applied Sciences Strategic Programs that may include: Environmental Assessment, Intelligence & Horizon Scanning, Social Science, Research and Development and Citizen Science.
Build and manage relationships with external research and knowledge partnerships.
Lead projects of defined scope under direction within a project team.
