Program Manager

  • $118,908 -$139,017 plus 9.5% superannuation

A critical element of the Victorian Government response to the Independent Inquiry into the Environment Protection Authority is the review and modernisation of the Environment Protection Act and subordinate legislation. A joint EPA and DELWP team, including staff from the EPA's Policy & Regulation unit and DELWP's Environment Protection Branch, are responsible for developing a range of necessary subordinate instruments to deliver the Government's commitment by July 2020.

The role is responsible for:

  • developing, coordinating, maintaining the program plan, and reporting on progress of the development of all subordinate instruments required for the commencement of the new      Environment Protection Act.
  • ensuring alignment  of the subordinate instrument reforms with broader legislative and EPA organisational reforms.
  • leading and coordinating the review and response to the public comment submissions on any proposed subordinate legislation.

The role will report to a joint EPA/DELWP project control board consisting of EPA's Director, Policy & Regulation and DELWP's Manager, Environment Protection Legislative Reform. The role will have one direct report in addition to supervising the work program of a small support team.
