Position Details

Health, Safety and Wellbeing Lead

EPA have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and engaging Health, Safety and Well-being Lead to join our People and Culture team.

As the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Lead you will provide strategic direction for EPA and its staff, by developing and leading the implementation and execution of EPAs Health, Safety and Wellbeing strategy. 

You will work closely with business leaders and staff through leading, coaching, guiding and mentoring the business managers in the identification of health, safety and well-being needs and development of solutions.  And you will also support and assist the business by undertaking operational tasks and duties associated with health, safety and well-being, injury prevention and management, and risk mitigation.

The successful candidate will display a genuine passion and interest in the health, safety and well being of our people and will demonstrate:

  • Experience in implementing and developing OHS policy, systems and procedures
  • Experience in OHS investigation and auditing
  • Ability to plan and manage systems, processes, budgets and resources to achieve OHS targets and desired outcomes
  • Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team and work collaboratively with other senior managers and cross-organisational teams;
  • Strong working knowledge of OHS legislation, frameworks, systems and processes, as well as injury and claims management
  • Ability to deliver positive organisational results in the field of health, safety and wellbeing.
