Position Details

This role will work with the technical services group (TSG), reporting to the technical supervisor, and will perform technical and administrative assessments of both product and project-based activities (PBA) applications submitted by participating businesses. Assessment of products relates to the analysis of energy efficient product applications to ensure that efficiency and other requirements are met, before registering these onto our Register of Products for use in the VEU program. Assessment of project applications relates to the assessment of energy efficiency projects proposed by program participants. These projects can relate to a huge variety of activities in the commercial and/or industrial sectors, and can range from upgrading HVAC systems, to the installation of multi-million dollar bioenergy equipment. Other functions of the role are managing TSG-specific projects, coordinating TSG participation in larger VEU projects and assisting in the development of new and existing administration related to TSG in the VEU program.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Contributing to the effective administration of the VEU program, specifically in the area of technical assessments

• Managing and coordinating projects

• Contributing to assigned deliverables under the commission's obligations under law with respect to the Government's VEET legislation

• Following business processes which support program participants' involvement and uphold program compliance.

The role requires sound analytical ability coupled with good technical or statistical/mathematical understanding as well as good project management/administration experience. Excellent levels of attention to detail, good verbal and written communication and a good understanding of administrative processes will be crucial for this role.
