    Position Details

    Organisational environment
    The Essential Services Commission is Victoria's independent economic regulator of essential services supplied by a range of industries. The Commission's functions include:
    • making regulatory decisions with respect to prescribed industries (including price determinations, licensing, customer protection and access disputes);
    • undertaking reviews and providing advice to Ministers on a range of economic and regulatory matters; and
    • administering the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target scheme.

    Accountabilities
    1. Plan, coordinate and undertake research and analysis in respect of legal, administrative and operational developments of the VEET scheme
    2. Provide high quality advice to the Manager, Planning and Development and Director, VEET on complex administrative issues
    3. Manage the delivery of policy projects, at the direction of the Policy Supervisor
    4. Prepare Commission papers, explanatory notes, guidelines and decisions on matters pertaining to the VEET scheme
    5. Develop and maintain relationships with personnel in the other VEET teams, scheme participants, and Government personnel to ensure the objectives of the scheme are achieved
    6. Provide quality assurance of external VEET scheme documents.
    7. Manage the delivery of the VEET Division's key communication activities, including its stakeholder forums
