    If you do, then an exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Regulatory Manager within the Transport Division at the Essential Services Commission of Victoria. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a total remuneration package of between $171,240 - $211,544 (inclusive of 9.5% super) per year, in a central Melbourne location.

    Position Details

    Organisational environment
    The Essential Services Commission (ESC) is Victoria's independent economic regulator of essential services supplied by a range of industries. The Transport division within the ESC is responsible for administering the Commission's economic regulatory responsibilities across five industries including new regulatory roles in overseeing the port of Melbourne, setting and monitoring Victorian taxi taxis, administering rail access, advising on accident towing pricing and monitoring the domestic building insurance industry.

    Accountabilities
    This position oversees and ensures delivery of a program of economic regulatory projects within the Transport Division. The Senior Regulatory Manager also leads key projects, and ensures advice and project outputs are delivered on time and to a high standard. This role also supports the Director in many of the division's corporate responsibilities and provides thought leadership and strategic input relevant to the work program.


    The principal functions of this position involve:
    • Program management and technical leadership in economic regulation, pricing and monitoring
    • Leading and managing project teams and staff to deliver complex projects
    • Preparing and delivering high quality reports, consultation papers and guidelines
    • Stakeholder consultation and management
    • Supporting the Director in meeting corporate responsibilities
