Position Details

The Senior Regulatory Manager – Energy Reform and Analysis will lead a group that will provide expert advice and lead key projects relevant to the reform of the regulatory framework that will support the future energy market. This will include leading a number of key projects implementing a number of key recommendations from the Independent Review of the Electricity and Gas Retail Markets. Some of these projects will include:

• Bills and marketing - setting new standards for bills and marketing material to help customers navigate the energy market more effectively
• Competitiveness review - developing and applying a framework for reporting on competitiveness and efficiency in the market. The framework is to include a reference price for assessing competitiveness
• Code review - undertaking a review of our regulatory codes to ensure they focus on customer outcomes, in accordance with the review's recommendations.

As a leader in the commission, the successful person will provide thought leadership and strategic input relevant to the work program and will contribute to broader commission initiatives.

To be considered you will possess qualifications in a relevant discipline, high level experience and knowledge of economic policy/regulation affecting the energy sector. You'll have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to contribute to an innovative regulatory environment. As a leader you will be dynamic and pro-active, able to coach, support and mentor your group.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a total remuneration package of between $176,851 - $219,298 (inclusive of 9.5% super).
