    Position Details

    Position details: 

    The position is responsible for:

    • Supporting drafting reports, consultation papers, commission decisions, guidelines and codes of practice.
    • Building and maintain relationships with industry, government, and professional and academic organisations.
    • Supporting management of contracts with external providers.

    This role would suit someone who has experience in energy and/or regulation, that is enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced environment, on a wide range of complex policy issues, to deliver positive outcomes for consumers. An understanding of the energy retail, distribution and transmission sectors is desirable.

    The Essential Services Commission is Victoria's independent economic regulator of essential services supplied by a range of industries. The commission's functions include:

    • Making regulatory decisions with respect to prescribed industries (including price determinations, licensing, customer protection and access disputes).
