Position Details

About The Role

As a Senior Manager you will be a critical team leader responsible for managing and delivering assigned external financial audits and/or Parliamentary reports, managing resources, monitoring the financial audit work, ensuring the work is delivered on time and within budget.  

You will also:

  • Present audit findings, evidence, conclusions and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Undertake an Engagement Quality Control Reviewer (EQCR) role as assigned
  • Contribute to business improvement initiatives across the Financial Audit Group

Please note that travel around Victoria may be required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Extensive experience managing and delivering external financial audits or complex investigations, inquiries or reviews
  • Excellent working knowledge of Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards, legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Business, Finance or a related field preferably at postgraduate level
  • Full professional membership with CPA Australia or the Institute of Chartered Accountants
  • Leadership and people management expertise providing support, coaching and mentoring
  • Stakeholder engagement experience especially a record of success influencing change
  • A flexible approach that balances rigour and innovation
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, communication and report writing skills
