The Senior Science Engagement Officer will lead the development and implementation of innovative ways to better communicate technical concepts relating to bushfires and planned burning, to improve community and stakeholder engagement and decision making and support strategic and operational bushfire management planning. The position will be responsible for initiating and integrating research into operational tools and methods that support strategic and operational planning, decision making and community engagement.

If you have demonstrated knowledge and experience in science communication you are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience in the design and implementation of behavioural change initiatives (e.g. diagnosis, behavioural framework design, community and stakeholder engagement, change management) is highly desirable.

This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2019.
