The Risk Analyst works in a team to develop innovative bushfire modelling tools and methods for assessing bushfire risk and enabling risk-based multi-agency planning for bushfire prevention, response, suppression and evacuation activities.  The position will support initiation and integration research into operational tools and methods that support strategic and operational planning, decision making and community engagement.

If you have demonstrable experience in fire behaviour science, emergency management or hazard modelling and prediction you are strongly encouraged to apply. Expertise in GIS and computer modelling is desirable.

This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2019.

The position location is negotiable within the Gippsland Region.
