About the role

The Contract & Commercial Analyst supports the Manager, Commercial, through the provision of technical and analytical expertise and support with the primary objective of holding service providers accountable to their performance requirements and commitments, ensuring the delivery of high quality services.

The role will review, compile and assess service providers' performance data on a regular basis for commercial review and assessment and will review trends and assist on the proactive identification and resolution of performance risks and issues.

The Contract & Commercial Analyst will ensure key activities are delivered in accordance with the Branch's Quality Standards, processes and procedures, including the Better Contracts Management Framework.

What we're looking for

Essential (must have to be considered for the position)

  • Well-developed research, conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to identify emerging issues, trends and risks, and understand their potential applications and impacts.
  • An understanding of contract obligations, to provide advice on contact and commercial matters balanced with operational delivery concerns, particularly in relation to operator performance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required including the ability to determine priorities and effectively manage competing demands, including providing support to the branch.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to highlight key risks and issues for Ministerial briefings, CEO briefings and monthly reports.
  • Exceptional administrative practices to ensure appropriate documentation is maintained for the purposes of governance and risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the flow and processes surrounding varied information sources with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Mandatory

  • A tertiary qualification in a related area.
