Position Details

About the opportunity

As the Senior Safety Adviser, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of best practice health and safety management systems. You will be responsible for the establishment and ongoing management of the health and safety management system for SRLA staff, contractors and community interactions. You will work with and across all functional disciplines at SRLA and the wider MTIA (Major Transport Infrastructure Authority) & Department of Transport government health & safety network, with a particularly close working relationship across NELP. Working with minimal supervision, this position requires demonstrated capability in delivering health & safety management, assurance, reporting and compliance activities. You will also manage a small systems and reporting team. Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders are vital.  

Reporting to the Manager, Safety Programs this role will lead the development and the maintenance of the SRLA health and safety management system and the associated tools that enables project delivery and unrivalled health and safety performance.
