Two opportunities have arisen at BRHS for customer focused individuals with food service/preparation experience to join our Aged Care or Food Services teams in an ongoing position. This is a great entry level role to start your healthcare career.

The Contracts: Ongoing, Part-Time, 64.0 hours per fortnight – Food Services Department

                        Ongoing, Part-Time, 54.0 hours per fortnight – Aged Care Facility

The Position:

The successful candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm and excellent work ethic to work as part of a team to ensure the provision of a first-class beverage service to the hospital community and the residents of Maddocks Gardens. The Food Services Assistant will work within the requirements of the BRHS Food Safety Plan and Commonwealth Department of Health and Family Care Standards for Services to support the delivery of food services in line with the Healthy Choices guidelines and individual dietary requirements.

Applicants are required to be available to work a range of shifts as rostered, across 7 days a week including public holidays as required.  Penalty rates and allowances will be paid accordingly.

The successful applicants will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in food preparation and/or service.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety Regulations
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • An understanding of the principles of confidentiality.
