Position Details

Food Services Assistant - Cafe


  • Casual positions are available in our newly opened hospital Café with the potential to move to part time positions.
  • Be a part of a team looking to provide excellent food and coffee to staff, patients, residents and visitors to ERH 

Applications are sought from suitably qualified café assistants with previous cafe experience to work in the new café at Echuca Regional Health.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coffee making
  • Food service
  • Customer service
  • Maintaining a clean environment
  • Café operations – including handling of money and balancing till
  • Weekend work required

Our team requires someone who has:

  • Barista certificate – beneficial but not essential
  • Proven experience as a café assistant
  • High-level awareness of patient / resident / visitor privacy
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food safety and hygiene principles
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent customer service skills

This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check prior to appointment.
