Family Safety Victoria is the first government agency dedicated to ending family violence. It will deliver key initiatives to help protect, support and identify risk for those impacted by family violence and hold perpetrators to account. We also coordinate access to services that support vulnerable children and families. We are working across government and with our partners in the family violence, family services and broader social services sectors to transform services and introduce new practices to make it easier for people to get the help, protection, and support they need. By leading collaboration and engagement for Victoria’s family violence response we will make sure victim survivors remain at the heart of these changes, and that services are safe, accessible and culturally appropriate. Position Summary:

The Service Development team is responsible for developing and supporting the implementation of a suite of inputs critical to the successful establishment and ongoing operations of The Orange Doors across the state. This includes:

  • developing and leading the delivery of an Orange Door workforce plan that covers the full employment lifecycle from recruitment and staff onboarding through to strategic capability and capacity building strategies
  • supporting the deployment of the Orange Door Client Relationship Management system
  • leading the establishment of local governance mechanisms and partnership arrangements to support both service commencement and ongoing operational arrangements in each Area
  • developing and leading the delivery of continuous service improvement projects to support high quality, client focused service delivery and the iterative design and implementation of the Orange Door model.

As the Senior Project Officer, Service Development, you will be a part of the team that drives these activities with a focus on delivering projects that ensure high quality and safe Orange Door service provision. 

You will bring experience and demonstrated capability in project management and stakeholder engagement, supported by your demonstrated ability to deliver robust and effective projects within a reform context. You will be required to prepare and lead, within tight timeframes, high quality briefings, discussion papers, project materials, presentations, reports and other documentation related to key projects and initiatives. Engaging and building strong relationships with key stakeholders and an ongoing commitment to innovation and service improvement are keys to the success the role.
