Who we are

Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) is the statutory authority responsible for regulating, conducting and promoting greyhound racing in Victoria, a sport that annually generates around $400 million in economic activity and over $3 billion in wagering and directly involves over 15,000 people.

Our vision is “Victorian Greyhound Racing is a vibrant, entertaining and thriving sport with animal welfare at its heart.”

GRV's Racing Services team are the face and voice of GRV, providing timely and quality service to participants and visitors either in person, over the phone, or by email. The team register owners, trainers, and greyhound while also recording race nominations and scratchings. This important work supports the delivery of Australia's busiest racing program.

Racing to the opportunity

 

Our Business Support Officer delivers professional, timely and friendly customer service to existing industry participants and those who are new to the racing. We have one full-time, ongoing opportunity to work between our West Melbourne office and home (as hybrid working is our norm).  

 

Are you a customer service star?

Fantastic, those skills will serve you well as you handle inbound phone calls, respond to enquiries, and support the management team. You'll build warm and genuine relationships with our participants (who'll share some interesting and creative dog names with you) as you work with them and Greyhounds Australasia to support the naming application process.

 

How are your administration skills?

They'll come in handy as you'll be supporting GRV's regulatory responsibilities by registering owners, trainers, and greyhounds using established processes. You'll also generate reports and contribute to training material including standard operating procedures. The team likes to come together for meetings, so you will also book meeting rooms, prepare agendas, take minutes, and distribute action items.
