About the role
As the Head of Communications & Engagement, you will lead Parks Victoria in the strategic and day-to-day delivery of its communication and engagement programs.
You will shape, lead and support a professional team of communication, media and engagement specialists. You will ensure Parks Victoria has the capability to plan for and implement longer-term strategic initiatives, deliver ongoing operational requirements, and be equipped to respond to urgent and unforeseen circumstances. Your reach extends across the organisation to support on-the-ground staff, providing advice to executive management along with collaborating with a range of external organisations.
We're looking for someone with:
- A highly strategic and collaborative leader, used to operating at senior levels in large, complex organisations and in fast-paced environments
- Demonstrated experience in leading the development and management of diverse and complex stakeholder relationships and programs across government, community groups and the private sector
- An expert in issues management, providing high-level, authoritative and practical advice and solutions on complex and sensitive stakeholder and community issues
- Demonstrated experience in successfully leading strategic and day-to-day communications functions and programs, including external and internal communications and media management
