Position Details

Health Information Services Clerk

Echuca Regional Health (ERH) is seeking applications from motivated and enthusiastic people to join the staff of Health Information Services. 

Applications are sought from suitably qualified people with previous experience to work in Health Information Services at Echuca Regional Health. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Registration of patients and data entry of inpatient attendances at ERH
  • Preparation, assembly, tracking and management of patient records.
  • Release of confidential information in accordance with relevant legislation and hospital policy
  • Other clerical duties as required 

Our team requires someone who has:

  • Qualifications in Medical Terminology
  • Proven experience in customer service
  • High-level awareness of confidentiality
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems including patient management software
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Willingness to function as a member of a team
  • Commitment to quality improvement 

This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and (where relevant) provision of a Working With Children Check and check on the Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme prior to appointment.
