Human Resources Administration Trainee


The ERH Human Resources & Payroll team are seeking an enthusiastic new team member to support our work in recruiting, on-boarding, paying and supporting ERH employees.  

This will be a full time position which includes paid study time and completion of a Certificate III/IV in Administration/Human Resources qualification with a local training provider. This opportunity has been funded by the Department of Health and Human Services through the Aboriginal Worforce Development grant scheme.  

To be eligible to apply you must be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

The HR Administration Trainee will provide administrative support to the HR team in the areas of Payroll, Recruitment and OH&S.  Duties include inputting data into various HR and Payroll software programs, processing invoices, maintaining spreadsheets and registers, assisting with staff enquiries via a Servicedesk, creating, filing and maintaining employee files and general office support.  

The position operates in a cohesive team environment with the whole team working together to meet deadlines and goals of the unit and to provide a customer focused service.  This position may also include providing secretarial support for various committees including preparation of agendas and minutes (including attendance at meetings).  The ability to work independently is essential for this role. 

You must be eligible to undertake the Certificate III/IV for this role, having completed Year 10 or equivalent.  Literacy and numeracy are screened as part of the interview and selection process.
