Position Details
THE ROLE
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work as part of a team in a branch improving outcomes for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The Principal Project Officer will model and promote the translation of systems thinking, evidence and insights into homelessness reform and service design proposals. They will lead a small team to deliver new and ongoing evaluation projects. The position contract manages the peak body and supports the development of a strategic response to the homelessness sector's workforce challenges. The position will also be responsible for preparing and delivering high-level executive briefings. The successful applicant will be relationships-focused, demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be collaborative and innovative.
Are you:
• A systems thinker with evaluation experience in the human services sector?
• An excellent communicator with highly developed written skills, able to articulate complex issues in clear ways?
• Someone who enjoys sourcing and synthesising relevant research evidence, practitioner expertise and client voice to support evidence-informed implementation and practices?
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Lead the design and delivery of program evaluations including lapsing programs.
- Contribute advanced expertise and knowledge to benefit strategic planning and organisation/sector-wide outcomes.
- Manage a range of projects/functions including:
- Leading research, analysis and implementation of complex projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.
- Managing and overseeing projects or sub-projects and being accountable for the successful delivery and completion of the projects/sub-projects within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
- Monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.
