IBAC is Victoria's anti-corruption agency responsible for preventing and exposing public sector corruption and police misconduct. We do this by:

  • investigating and exposing corruption and police misconduct
  • informing the public sector, police and the community about the risks and impacts of corruption and police misconduct, and ways in which it can be prevented.

We are seeking an experienced communication professional with well-developed communication skills and extensive, practical experience in a senior communication or media role.  

Reporting to the Manager Communication, the Senior Communication Officer is responsible for providing high level strategic communications and media advice to support IBAC's important work.

Contributing as part of a small communication team, you will play a lead role in managing the design and implementation of communication strategies and the delivery of publications and other communications materials to reach IBAC's stakeholders. You will be responsible for researching, writing, editing and managing the production of a range of materials, including:

  • reports
  • podcasts and other digital communications
  • media releases, speeches, strategies, briefing notes etc
  • other materials to support internal and external communication.

To be successful in this role you will have significant experience working in a similar role and be comfortable working in an issues rich, fast paced environment.  You will enjoy making a contribution as part of a team, demonstrate initiative, as well as a high degree of professionalism in your work. You will also have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and an ability to work well with others.
