IBAC is Victoria's anti-corruption agency responsible for preventing and exposing public sector corruption and police misconduct. We do this by:

  • investigating and exposing corruption and police misconduct
  • informing the public sector, police and the community about the risks and impacts of corruption and police misconduct, and ways in which it can be prevented.

We are seeking an experienced communication professional with well-developed communication skills and extensive, practical experience in a senior communication or media role. The role is initially two days a fortnight, with possible extension to four days a fortnight in September.

Reporting to the Manager Communication, the Senior Communication Officer provides high level strategic communications to support IBAC's important work.

Contributing as part of a small communication team, and adept at working collaboratively, you will play a lead role in the design and implementation of communication strategies and the delivery of communications to reach IBAC's audiences. You will be responsible for researching, writing, editing and managing the production of a range communications materials and recommending sound approaches to meet our communication needs.

To be successful in this role you will have significant experience working in a similar role and be comfortable working in an issues rich, fast paced environment.  You will be highly organised, enjoy making a contribution as part of a team, demonstrate initiative, and a high degree of professionalism in your work. As the role is part-time, your ability to pick up tasks quickly will be paramount, as well an ability to work collaboratively.
