An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior and experienced trade and investment professional to join the Victorian Government Trade & Investment (VGTI) network to build relationships with key organisations to increase Victorian investment and trade opportunities.

Reporting to the Commissioner of Victoria to the Americas, this position will require proven experience in investment facilitation and attraction, particularly in the Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Medical R&D and Technology sectors and a detailed understanding of the global business environment.

Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will possess:

1. Demonstrated knowledge of investment promotion, international investment decision-making processes and business development.
2. Strong understanding of the North American, Australian and Victorian business environments, particularly in the identified sectors, and a comprehensive knowledge of Victoria's international competitive advantages and key drivers which impact on the ability to attract international investment to Victoria.
3. Demonstrated experience in managing relationships with complex client organisations and facilitating major decision-making with varied stakeholders across multiple geographies.
The successful candidate for this locally engaged position will be responsible for all arrangements in relation to relocation expenses (if applicable), their visa, accommodation and day-to-day living expenses.
