About the role
The Incident Response Officer supports the delivery of the Division’s business and corporate objectives specifically in the area of emergency planning, response, relief and recovery.
The position provides support to the Incident Response Team with the primary objective of maintaining PTV preparedness to efficiently manage and respond to emergency incidents and is the service contact for agencies and external organisations dealing with general and emergency management matters relating to or impacting public transport. The position also provides support by analysing and interpreting information for the development and delivery of systems and processes set up to ensure PTV can meet legislative obligations under the Victorian Emergency Management Arrangements. In addition the position is one of the team that provides a 24/7 monitoring capability to provide timely and accurate updates on public transport disruptions.
The position is a shift work position with on call requirements. You will be participating in a rotating roster including morning shifts, afternoon shifts and weekends. Please contact the hiring manager listed below for current roster pattern.
You will bring to PTV a proven understanding of Victorian emergency management arrangements including in the support and operation of incident rooms and incident response coupled with an understanding of the delivery of Victorian public transport operations. You have high-level report writing and business case development skills with the ability to implement emergency response, disaster recovery and business continuity processes and procedures.
You demonstrate professional interpersonal acumen including the ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships and influence successful emergency management outcomes in a fast-paced work environment. Overall, your ability to apply conceptual and analytical skills to analyse and resolve complex problems coupled with your personal drive and integrity to delivery results will round off your profile.
