Corryong Health is a highly integrated, community focussed healthcare organisation providing a comprehensive range of services to the Upper Murray region in Victoria.
As Chief Executive Officer of Corryong Health, your role will be crucial in leading the organisation and fulfilling its strategic vision, purpose, role, values, and objectives defined by the Board of Directors and Minister of Health.
Corryong Health is one of seven Multi-Purpose Services in Victoria, operating within a $15M budget. It is the largest regional employer in the area, serving approximately 5,000 people in small rural communities. The organisation offers hospital, residential aged care, medical, primary health, and community support services.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and directing the organisation to provide quality, cost-effective, patient-centred, and community-responsive healthcare services. This includes effectively utilising State and Federal funding, fee for service income, and local human resources. Your leadership will play a pivotal role in growing the local community capacity, connecting and informing people, and promoting a learning culture within the organisation.
You will have direct reports and key stakeholders, including directors of clinical services and nursing, business services, quality, safety and risk, and medical services practice manager. Additionally, you will liaise closely with government departments, community agencies, local authorities, and health service partners. Your ability to communicate a vision, align individual and team goals with the organisational vision, and develop a culture consistent with the organisation's values will be vital.
To succeed in this role, you should have demonstrated competence in leadership and general management at a senior/executive level in the health sector, ideally including experience in aged care, community health, and primary care. A comprehensive understanding of the role of a health service within a rural community, along with a commitment to community engagement and stakeholder partnerships, is essential. Financial acumen, business management skills, and knowledge of corporate governance and risk management are also crucial.
As the Chief Executive Officer of Corryong Health, you will have a unique opportunity to lead and make a positive impact on the health and well-being of the Upper Murray community. Your strategic vision, leadership skills, and commitment to quality healthcare will be instrumental in further strengthening the organisation and its role in the community.
