Position Details
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for an Industry and Skills Development Coordinator to join us for the ride in this 12-month Fixed term role.
Reporting to the Manager, Industry and Skills Development, VicScreen's Industry & Skills Development Coordinator is the passionate industry champion behind the initiatives bringing new screen-industry talent to the world. Helping identify new talent and supporting skills development.
You'll work closely with colleagues to assess applicants for VicScreen's industry and skills development programs, guiding them with intimate knowledge of the industry's inner workings. A master of clear communication, you'll spearhead reports and policy papers for presentation to senior management and government departments.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
You're passionate about the screen industry and you know how it works. A natural communicator and relationship builder, you build and maintain connections that help to identify and develop future talent. You'll also bring:
- Industry Knowledge: Sound knowledge of the Australian screen industry.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience working in one or more production roles (e.g., Production Manager/Coordinator, or similar) in one or more of the following: feature film, television, digital media or games, preferably within the Victorian screen industry.
- Analytical Skills: You'll have the ability to identify straightforward issues / problems, gather and analyse information, and recommend solutions to facilitate decision making.
- Energy: Your unfakeable enthusiasm for all things screen drives you to deliver quality client services – day-in, day-out
