About Public Transport Victoria (PTV)

Public Transport Victoria (PTV) is a statutory authority that acts as a system authority for all public transport and an advocate for public transport users. We are a single contact point for customers wanting information on public transport services, fares, tickets and initiatives. Your new role

The Project Support Officer will provide high level project and event management support to the Inclusive Public Transport Unit branch.

The Project Support Officer will play a key role in ensuring that project deliverables, outcomes and plans are implemented effectively, working in consultation with staff and key internal and external stakeholders

This role will fundamentally assist the Inclusive Public Transport Unit branch to meet organisational needs and business requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

Essential (must have to be considered for the position)

  • Extensive experience providing effective events management, project management and administrative support;
  • Ability to creatively identify processes, tasks and resources required to achieve a goal;
  • Proven capability to prepare and monitor expenditure against budgets and manage any resource issues in a constructive and solution-focused way by incorporating appropriate processes;
  • Highly effective project administration skills, including the ability to review procurement projects and priorities to anticipate and mange emerging issue and ensure timeliness and quality of outputs;
  • High level experience, thorough understanding and ability to use computer based applications, including TRIM, Microsoft Office Suite or other software database;
  • Excellent organisational, administrative and time management skills and the ability to work with initiative and independence;
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities, identify barriers or challenges and find effective ways to deal with them;
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, peers and other government agencies with the objective of developing partnerships, influencing views and meeting timelines for delivery of projects;
  • Ability to handle confidential information and work in a politically sensitive environment whilst carrying out the tasks as a representative of the division.
