About the role:

Do you want to work in a role that supports operational policing? This role requires you to ensure that employees are paid correctly and on time while delivering exceptional customer service. You will be part of a dynamic and diverse team who are committed to providing high quality payroll services to employees of Victoria Police.

Your duties will include:

  • Processing and delegating payroll transactions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensuring payroll reports and data are analysed, interpreted and acted upon to ensure accuracy
  • Leading and participating in assigned payroll and leave processing enquiries and related projects ensuring prompt response and resolution
  • In consultation with the Team Leader and/or Assistant Payroll Manager, monitor workloads and team performance to ensure balance and achieve optimum individual and team results

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Developed analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve payroll matters effectively

Requirements and relevant information:

  • Multiple full-time, fixed term positions available up to August 2024.
  • These positions are located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with organisational policy, all Victoria Police employees are required to be fully vaccinated (including a booster vaccination) against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exception. As such your employment with Victoria Police is subject to providing evidence of your vaccination status.
